I love to add the quilted touch that adds texture to the quilt and completes its beauty. As I quilt, I feel the quilt come alive. I must be the luckiest person in the world to be able to do this everyday!
I quilt on my stitch-regulated APQS Millennium aided by the Intelliquilter computer. Stitch regulation ensures that the stitch length is a consistent and even. The computer enables me to quilt your chosen design with great accuracy and elegance. I specialize in pantographs, also known as pantos, designs that stitch across the entire quilt in rows from edge to edge. I have a large selection of these designs and am adding more all the time. If you have a special request, I can order any digitized design that is available.
At the present time, I am only doing panto designs, because that is what the overwhelming majority of my customers are requesting. the panto is the most reasonably priced type of quilting available. This allows you to finish more quilts!
I use high quality threads made by major manufacturers that make threads that can hold up to the forces created by the longarm machine. I primarily use polyester, which has gained tremendous acceptance for quilting in recent years. I can use 100% cotton if you prefer.
I keep a healthy and clean studio. In the interest of full disclose, I do have a dog, but he is not allowed in the quilting room. I cannot accept quilt tops that have any strong odors, especially cigarette smoke odors. This is to protect both myself and the my other customers who might have sensitivities. Please wash the top before sending it if you think there might be a problem.
I have been quilting for 41 years, and machine quilting for 17 years. I have been a member of the San Fernando Valley Quilt Association, the Valley Quiltmakers Guild (both in Southern California), and am currently a member of the Tucson Quilters Guild.
