Crumbie Cutie

I just recently finished the quilting on this little cutie for the Tucson Quilters Guild charity projects. I CANNOT take credit for the crumb piecing, even though I wish I could, I love it so much! Someone else in the guild pieced it; I finished it. I did the quilting using the Circle Lord Swirlz template.

Hmm... maybe I can work in some crumb piecing while on the road.

Playing with Some Scrappy Blocks

Hi All--

These are some blocks that I've been working on. These are up on my design wall. This is made of A and B blocks that alternate. I'm using up a lot of 2" scraps. Lots of fun!

This is Yeager's baby picture when he was 2 months and 18 pounds. Now he is 116 pounds and 6 years.

Maybe next time I'll show y'all what he looks like now.

I am checking through a huge box of held mail, and getting ready for my road trip!

Grandson Danny's Baptism

Yesterday we all got together at our elder son's house for grandson Daniel's baptism and the big party afterward. Our younger son's family was also there. There were lots of kids there and they started a very informal game of tackle football on the backyard lawn. Size definitely mattered in this game, although a few very small but swift kiddies did fairly well. They had a taco station set up with cooks making them to order with a choice of cooked-on-site meats. My daughter-in-law worked some of her artistry with a fancy decorated cake. What a great day!

We tried unsuccessfully to post a picture on my blog. I intend to keep trying--I know it can't be that hard....

Tomorrow we head for home in Tucson to get ready for the Kansas City trip!

Now that I am starting my blog, far-flung friends and family (how's that for alliteration?) can find out where I am and what I am up to! Of course, y'all will hear about my DH Jerry and my DGSD (dear German Shepherd dog Yeager)

Here goes.. In a few days, we're goin to Kansas City. (I'm singing the song...) I'm headed for MQS--Machine Quilting Showcase where I have a full schedule of classes. I'm also taking my featherweight 221 so I can piece during any downtime and odd moments.
